Effect of Squeeze pressure on the hardness and wear resistance of Aluminium flyash composite manufactured by stir-squeeze casting

Abstract: In the present investigation LM6 aluminium alloy was reinforced with 7.5% by weight flyash particles. The composite was prepared by stir-squeeze casting method. Different squeeze pressure was applied on the composite to study the effect of squeeze pressure on the hardness and abrasive wear behavior of the composite. It was observed that as the squeeze pressure was increased the hardness and the wear resistance also improved. The wear experiments were conducted at different speeds and loads using abrasive wear tester and the hardness test was performed using Brinell's hardness tester. The results of hardness and the wear resistance was compared with that of the monolithic alloy produced by gravity casting and also by squeeze casting. It was clearly evident from the results obtained that the composites produced by squeeze casting was superior in hardness and wear resistance than the monolithic alloy produced by gravity casting and squeeze casting. The increase in hardness and the wear resistance is attributed to the volume fraction of the reinforcement used and decrease in the porosity level due to the application of squeeze pressure.

Comparative study between workflow tools Case study: Arabdox workflow and Bizagi express

Abstract:
This paper aims to study the comparison in the field of workflow systems between arabdox workflow and bizagi express for designing, features of each tool in terms of the availability of software for users and ease of use, support the protection and confidentiality of individuals, institutions and organizations,, raise the work efficiency and control procedures for operations in the organization and help them for transmission to e-government. Our case study is pension file processes in the National Pensions Fund (NPF) which pass through many workstations and designed forms with arabdox process designer and bizagi modeler. These files were previously traded on paper and all the procedures done manually, but using modern tools and techniques in this paper have been to the shift for electronic forms easy to use and high security controls.

Some Aspects on 3-Phase Bridge Inverter (180 Degree Mode)

Abstract:
This paper presents the Simulink model for 3 phase inverter in 180 degree mode. The three-phase square wave inverter can be used to generate balanced three-phase ac voltages of desired (fundamental) frequency. Moreover, harmonic voltages of 5th, 7th and other non-triplet odd multiples of fundamental frequency distort the output voltage. In many cases such distortions in output voltages may not be tolerable and it may also not be practical to use filter circuits to filter out the harmonic voltages in a satisfactory manner. The main objective of this paper is to overcome these problems by using a square wave PWM inverter with 6 thyristors.

This paper includes a comprehensive review of different types of faults occur in induction motor and also point out the latest trends in condition monitoring technology.

A novel approach for Zeolite-based Materials for Gas Sensors

Abstract:
This paper deals with the uses of zeolites and zeolite-based materials for developing gas sensors. The purpose of using zeolites in sensors is usually to improve sensitivity and selectivity by preferential adsorption, in addition, thin films assure a fast response time of the sensor. The compound or cluster sensing towards a gas assembled into the cages or channels of zeolites property of the materials were disussed in this paper. The possibility of these materials is tinted and avenues for further research are suggested.

Systematic Design of Hybrid Cascaded Multilevel Inverters with Simplified DC Power Supply and low Switching Losses

Abstract:
Hybrid cascade multilevel inverters combine semi conductor devices of different voltage ratings and technologies which theoretically allow high efficiency to be achieved. The bottlenecks of these topologies are, however, the need for isolated supplies for the cells and the lack of modularity. This paper focuses on the design and control of high-resolution, high-efficiency multi level inverters with simplified dc power supplies. for which all unsupplied capacitor voltages can be regulated Six classes of inverters are obtained covering single- and three phase ,staircase and pulse width-modulated (PWM) inverters. New configurations of hybrid cascade multilevel inverters are obtained for each class. A double modulation strategy with two different frequencies is proposed that allows switching losses of PWM inverters to be reduced. Decoupled mechanisms are proposed for the total and internal energy balances. An analysis of the maximum voltage utilization and efficiency of the resulting configurations is carried out.

Optimizing of Bloom Filters by Automatic Bloom Filter Updating and Instantly Updating Service Availability on Peers in P2P Network

Abstract:
P2P networks have become popular in the distributed computing paradigm. Different search mechanisms are used in P2P networks. Although flooding search technique, often provide required search results, this technique incurs lot of unnecessary traffic in the network. Bloom filter technique was developed to reduce the network traffic and thereby reduce communication cost. The main drawback of bloom filter is false positive results. False positives increase when data becomes stale. To reduce the stale data problem the paper proposes a mechanism to automatically updating the bloom filter information. The optimized bloom filter technology we propose provides automatic registering and deregistering of services. So information in the encoded bloom filters will be current and only contain the membership from the currently service-available registered peers. This reduces overloading the network with search request and also guarantees required search result with minimum overhead and wastage of resources. The expiry-date based encoded bloom filters we propose provide automatic refreshing of the bloom filter set. This also minimizes stale information and there by reduces the chance of false positive results.

Method to control the output power of Laser in the variation of Ambient Temperature

Abstract:
This paper presents a method to control the output power of Laser in the variation of ambient temperature. The circuit was designed using a feedback loop to maintain a constant optical power in the presence of temperature variation. It has been shown that the small variation in the photo-detector current, in response to a small variation of the laser output power, the PI controller adjusts the bias voltage so that the current through the laser remains constant. As a result, the output optical power is kept constant. The OptiSpice software has been used which incorporates equations governing optical components directly into an electrical stimulation.

Optimization of Blank Holding Pressure in Deep Drawing Process through FEA

Abstract:
Deep-drawing is a metal forming method, which is used to manufacture products from sheet metal. It is a very common method in the industry for the applications requiring sheet metal. So this operation is one of the important metal manufacturing processes in different industries. Today's automotive parts are required to be of light weight with high strength and this can be achieved by using available materials having high strength, low density, and corrosion resistibility. This has increased tendency of Wrinkling. Wrinkling is caused by stresses in the flange part of the blank during metal forming operations. It is required that the flange of a work-piece in deep drawing operation should deform in its plane without wrinkling otherwise the final product will be defective. . This paper investigates effect of blank holding pressure on wrinkling using FEM simulations. Results show that wrinkling is heavily influenced by blank holder pressure. An optimum value of parameters can be set to minimize wrinkling.
