Abstract:
FPGAs are being increasingly used for a variety of computationally intensive applications, mainly in the realm of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and communications. This paper describe the development of FIR filter on Field programmable gate array (FPGAs) using Xilinx. FIR filter has been designed and realized by FPGA for filtering the digital signal because the term digital filter arises because these filters operate on discrete-time signals. So to designing The FIR filter the coefficient are generate by using MAT Lab FDATOOL and making to delay with signal Xilinx XC3S400FPGA(ISE 13.1) is considered. Process is done by taking the 16 Bit signed data for input and 38 bit for output (6 Bit extra). To verify the designed with proper power consumption output simulation, compilation and synthesis have been done. Field-Programmable gate Array (FPGA) has become an extremely cost-effective means of off-loading computationally intensive digital signal processing algorithms to means of off-loading computationally intensive digital signal processing algorithms to the dedicated hardware resources can effectively achieve application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC)-like performance while reducing development time cost and risks.

Energy Efficiency in a Steel Rolling Mill by Effective Planning (Case Study)
Mr. K. G. Bante, Mr. S. G. Tarnekar, Mr. D. R. Tutakane

Abstract:
The recent years showed a significant increase both in energy costs and social awareness for Environmental concerns. The present paper describes how the material flow study may powerfully support production planning and the related decisions. The application proposed refers to a steel Rolling plant. The optimization of the production plan and Equipment is pursued by an objective function which takes into account both traditional targets and the need for an efficient use of energy. A typical working day for a rolling mill operator is not as straightforward as one would think. In fact a typical day can often mean a turbulent one where the operator has to battle process instability that interferes with production. Finding his way out of certain situations such as unstable rolling, which results in down time, less yield, and frequently the appearance of cobbles as a result of bar derailing, may be very time consuming. A typical working were implemented to forecast energy requirements at the Continuous and Cross country Rolling Mills. Final results showed how the effective planning support may lead to a significant reduction (more than 20%) of the daily consumption of electric energy. Regaining stable rolling is often based on the individuals' experience. Judging what the best set of process parameter settings should be is a black art representing the very core of their professional pride. However, by the time production is back on track, valuable material and energy have been wasted in ensuring correct dimensional accuracy usually through trial and error. To aid operators in their task as well as to eliminate such waste, study of the effective planning help for advanced rolling process optimization.

The Effect of Anticipatory Coariticulation in VCV Sequences in Chinese
Maolin Wang, Xuejiao Huang

Abstract:
In this study, the anticipatory Vowel-to-Vowel (V-to-V) coarticulatory effect in the Vowel-Consonant-Vowel (VCV) sequences is investigated. The subjects are twelve native speakers of standard Chinese, and the F2 offset value of the first vowel is analyzed. Results show that, in the trans-segment context, anticipatory coarticulation exists in Chinese. The coarticulatory effect in the context of labial is greater than that of alveolar, which is in line with the degrees of articulatory constraint model. The articulatory strength is great for aspirated consonants, so the coarticulatory effect is great in the context of aspirated stops.

Cuckoo Search Optimization Algorithm based Load Frequency Control of Interconnected Power Systems with GDB nonlinearity and SMES units
S. Ramesh Kumar, S. Ganapathy

Abstract:
This study extensively presents the Load Frequency Control (LFC) application of Cuckoo Search Optimization Algorithm. This algorithm is one of the new optimization algorithms which have been proved effective in solving complex optimization problems. In this study, the Cuckoo search optimization algorithm is applied to a two area interconnected power system with Governor Dead Band nonlinearity and Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage (SMES) units to tune the parameters of proportional plus integral controllers used for LFC. In a large scale power system, load frequency control in response to area load changes and abnormal system parameters requires fast minimization of frequency deviations and tie line power deviations of the area for stable operation of the system. The trial and error method of finding the gains by indirect optimization using ISE technique with an appropriate performance index appears not to be wise enough because of its complexity. AI techniques appear to be the right choice in finding the optimum gains of the controllers. Hence, in this work, the gains of the PI controllers are optimized using cuckoo search optimization algorithm. The cuckoo's behavior and the mechanism of Lévy flights have lead to the design of an efficient algorithm performing optimization search. Results show that the proposed algorithm achieves the LFC objectives effectively.

Osvaldo Martín García Delgado, David Asael Gutiérrez Hernández, Juan Arturo Aranda Ruíz, Ricardo Contreras Gaytán

Abstract:
For educational purposes, it is very important for the students of engineering to understand how external forces are distributed along a radial tire. This paper presents a novel and cheap device that, by the use of a simple vision system made with an economic webcam, a handmade metallic box and homemade simple software, measures and shows how a force is distributed along the length and wide of the reposed surface of the tire over a rigid floor. The 2D and 3D design of the device, a simulation of its functionality and the results of force distribution obtained by the application of the device are presented in this work. For industrial matters, a more detailed device, based on this idea, would be a very interested purpose of a non-invasive method for studying force distribution on tires.

Abstract:
A series of substituted compounds Na3[Fe(CN)5L]nxH2O where L= nicotinic acid, nicotinamide, 2,3,4-cyanopyridine and isonicotinamide have been synthesized. These pentacyanoferrates complexes studies by UV-visible, infrared, Mössbauer spectroscopic, TGA-DTG and XRD. All complexes has an absorption band in the visible region that is assigned to d-d transition. The Mössbauer spectra of these pentacyanoferrates complexes exhibit quadrupole doublet ΔEQ=0.71-084 mms-1 at room temperature. The isomer shift (δ) values fall within 0.00 ± 0.02 mms-1 suggest the iron atom in +2 low spin states. The complex start decomposing at 60 oC yielding residual weight 17.0-20.1. The Mössbauer spectra at higher temperatures and TGA/DTG of the complexes show that solids yielding into metal carbides, magnetite (F3O4(A) and F3O4(B) and hematite (F2O3). Mössbauer spectra recorded after heating at 150, 200, 250 and 300 oC exhibit symmetric doublet suggested partial decomposition. At 500oC, a six line pattern starts appearing which on further heating at > 700 oC turns into eight or ten lines suggesting the formation of Fe3O4(A), Fe3O4(B) of different particle sizes and iron carbide Fe3C along with metal phase. The XRD powder pattern of the 2,3,4-cyanopyridine substituted pentacyanoferrate complexes after heating at 950 oC showed an intense lines corresponds to the formation of γ-Fe2O3..

Dr.M.S.Satish Babu, Mr.G.Rajasekhar Reddy, Mr.A.Hariprasad Reddy

Abstract:
In this paper, we exhibit a character (ID) based convention that secures AODV and TCP with the goal that it can be utilized as a part of element and assault inclined situations of portable impromptu systems. The proposed convention secures AODV utilizing Sequential Aggregate Signatures (SAS) taking into account RSA. It additionally produces a session key for every pair of source-destination hubs of a MANET for securing the end-to-end transmitted information. Here every hub has an ID which is assessed from its open key and the messages that are sent are validated with a mark/MAC. The proposed plan does not permit a hub to change its ID all through the system lifetime. Subsequently it makes the system secure against assaults that objective AODV and TCP in MANET. We introduce execution investigation to approve our case.

Dr.Gireesh kumar Dixit, Mr.P.Vishvapathi, Ms.K.Priyadarshini

Abstract:
Portable Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is an element multihop remote system which is set up by an arrangement of versatile hubs on a mutual remote channel. One of the significant issues in MANET is directing because of the portability of the hubs. Directing means the demonstration of moving data over a web work from a source to a destination. With regards to MANET, the multifaceted nature increments because of different attributes like element topology, time fluctuating QoS necessities, constrained assets and vitality and so on. QoS steering assumes a critical part to provide QoS in remote specially appointed systems. The greatest test in this sort of systems is to discover a way between the correspondence end focuses fulfilling client's QoS necessity.

Design of Inertial Navigation System using Kalman Filter
K.Praveena, A.Ravikumar

Abstract:
Inertial Navigation system is combined with other navigation supports like GPS, which has gained importance due to enhanced navigation and inertial reference performance. The INS itself can compute the position of the device without any help from the outside world. However, a huge number of errors are introduced by a sensor which gives rise to an unacceptable drift in the output. So, a GPS is used to help the INS, using a Kalman filter which helps in estimating the errors in the INS and thus updating position to improved accuracy

Dr. N. Jeevan kumar, Dr.T .Madhu Sudan Reddy, Dr.H.N .SURESH

Abstract:
A solar hybrid energy system having photovoltaic and thermal (PV/T) devices, which produces both thermal and electrical energies simultaneously is considered for analysis. A double pass hybrid solar air (PV/T) heater with slats is designed and fabricated to study its thermal and electrical performance. Air as a heat removing fluid is made to flow through upper and lower channels of the collector. The collector is designed in such way that the absorber plate is partially covered by solar cells. The raise in temperature of the solar cell is expected to decrease its electrical performance. Thin metallic strips called slats are attached longitudinally at the bottom side of the absorber plate to improve the system performance by increasing the cooling rate of the absorber plate. Thermal and electrical performances of the whole system at varying cooling conditions are presented. An artificial neural network model is used for forecasting the system performance at any desired conditions. The proposed model can be successfully used for evaluating the effect of different operating parameters under different ambient conditions for predicting the overall performance of the system.

Abstract:
Alliot et al. [1] who used GAs for solving conflicts in air traffic control. Davis [2] and Giffer [3] applied genetic algorithms to problems involving job shop and production scheduling, respectively. These, along with countless other researchers have found GAs to be a valuable tool in problem solving and optimization environments.Although the high strength-to-weight properties of composite materials are attractive, their greatest advantage is that they provide the designer with the ability to tailor the directional strength and stiffnesses of a material to a given loading environment of the structure [4].is the latest and most technically advanced commercial transport aircraft, the Boeing 777. The structure of this revolutionary aircraft, which first flew in 1994, is only comprised of 9% by weight of composite materials [5].

Reduction Of Power System Oscillations Using Facts Controllers
m.Trishulapani, s.Prashanth Reddy, g.Ravinder Reddy, g.Venu Gopal

Abstract:
Several studies have investigated the potential of using FACTS Controllers' capability in damping inter-area oscillations. The uses of Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) and Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC) have been the subjects of several studies evaluating their respective effectiveness in enhancing power system dynamics. The recently proposed phase imbalanced series capacitive compensation concept has been shown to be effective in enhancing power system dynamics as it has the potential of damping power swing as well as sub synchronous resonance oscillations. In this project, the effectiveness of a "hybrid" series capacitive compensation scheme in damping power system oscillations is evaluated. A hybrid scheme is a series capacitive compensation scheme, where two phases are compensated by fixed series capacitor (C) and the third phase is compensated by a TCSC in series with a fixed capacitor (Cc). The effectiveness of the scheme in damping power system oscillations for various network conditions, namely different system faults and tie-line power flows is evaluated using the MATLAB simulation program. Index Terms—FACTS Controllers, phase imbalance, series compensation, thyristor controlled series capacitor.
